Same as me... What I have noticed is that if Cool & Quiet is disabled, the powernowk8 error message is: "BIOS Error: No PSB", as expected, as C&Q is disabled; if it's enabled, the error is "ph2 null fid transition ...";

Quite intriguing... it seems that the system is unable to configure the video card... The device is located and determined to be agp 3.0 compliant, but the system is unable to put the device on AGP 4x mode.... I guess that's the problem. Have you got an nvidia card to give it a chance on this system? I could do it, but I am not home right now (vacation), and I won't be back before january 15th... Maybe the problem has nothing to deal with cpufreq (ie.: the "powernowk8 error"...)

As the system can't configure the video card, X.org can't set up resolution, frequency, etc...

Check this: http://www.mail-archive.com/dri-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/msg20752.html... Try setting your video card at AGP 4x mode on the bios... This worked against a 6.8.0 X.org, so let's hope that FC3's 6.8.1 will do it...
I figured this out late last night. I set the BIOS at AGP4x (My video card is a 9200 SE as well) and FC3 boots normally. Switching to 4x took care of the problem. I'm booting into KDE now to set up Samba. Thanks for the assistance.
