Thanks, Alexander! I am trying to recompile the kernel in order to get the DSDT
patch working. The instructions are as in

http://gaugusch.at/kernel.shtml

As I understand it, I will need to recompile the kernel after putting it in?

As I understand it also, DSDT is needed to get ACPI working correctly on my
laptop, as per http://www.hoolehan.com/300mlinux/fc3.html

The following ACPI HOWTO is what I am also working off:

http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=122145

How does one unpack a src.rpm? I was under the impression that rpmbuild
--rebuild ... would do it.

Thanks and best wishes!
