Ok, I googles this and got:

Results 1 - 10 of about *1,210,000* for linux 1394. (0.28 seconds)

Soo, while I'm reading for the next few hours maybe someone can narrow
it down for me. I have a Sony DV camera I'd like to capture and edit
video using Cinelerra or Kino. When I connect the camera I see:

Dec 19 15:41:09 everest kernel: ohci1394: fw-host1: SelfID received,
but NodeID invalid (probably new bus reset occurred): 0800FFC0
Dec 19 15:41:09 everest ieee1394.agent[6177]: ... no drivers for
IEEE1394 product 0x/0x/0x
Dec 19 15:41:09 everest ieee1394.agent[6176]: ... no drivers for
IEEE1394 product 0x/0x/0x
Dec 19 15:41:10 everest kernel: ieee1394: raw1394: /dev/raw1394 device
initialized

Kino doesnt get any input from /dev/raw1394 so I am assuming there is
more I have to do. If someone could point me in the right directrion
-- meanwhile I'll be reading through the million plus google results

Thanks
