i have also got JDK instead of JRE.but i have not installed as root.i have no problems also.see the java and azureus section in:

I saw that link already. I've just DL'ed the JDK and also DAG's 1.4.2's JRE.
I'll see how it goes.

sorry, i have forgot to mention:i installed jdk version 1.5.0
i am not sure but your version has been reported problematic with azureus,but again: i remember slightly about something like that.
