Hi Tammo, Thanks for the help. But right now, I am going to uninstall windows from my machine and going to fresh install the Fedora. So I copied all the .iso files into CD. Yes I got that the first CD should be bootable. Now my question on the other CDs. Will the installation not work as .iso files for the CD (2,3 and 4) ? You said "you can use the other .iso image directrly from the hard drive." will the same not work from CD ? I think you understand my question.
No, they won't. You'll need to burn all the CDs the same way. For a hard drive install, you can boot from the first CD and then tell the installer to use the ISOs for all four CDs from a hard disk partition, but you can't use this for a fully CD-based install.
It's probably easiest for you just to burn the ISOs properly and use the CDs. See http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/e-smith/docs/howto/CD_burning_howto.php3 for how to burn ISOs using a variety of popular CD-burning tools.
Paul.
