Everyone, I have a fully updated version of FC3 running on a Dell Lattitude C840 with the following: Stock kernel-2.6.9-1.681_FC3 udev-039-10.FC3.5 nautilus-cd-burner-2.8.3-6 nautilus-2.8.1-4 nautilus-media-0.8.1-3 I access Nautilus CD burner through either typing burn:/// in the Nautilus window or by nautilus --no-desktop burn: from the command line. I copy my files into the window and click Write to CD. Verify the settings are correct and click Write. The message says "Reload rewritable or blank media. Please replace the in-drive media by a rewritable or blank media." I've verified that the media is in fact blank by placing it in another burner. I've also tested this as root and have the same results. I've set the write speed manually, I've activated burnfree ( I know the drive supports it ) and I've verified that /dev/cdwriter points to the correct IDE device /dev/hdb. I Googled and all the previous problems I've found were related to 2.6.8 kernel ( I too had this problem back then ), but a 2.6.9 kernel fixed this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
