Earlier this week, I upgraded my Dell Inspiron 8500 laptop from FC2 to FC3.

Under FC2, I was running 1600x1200 resolution without a problem. Now, if I
select any resolution higher than 800x600 (unacceptable!) I get dual
images of the
desktop.

The video adapter in question is an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000, which I don't
see among the selections; FC3 seems to think that I have a Mobility M9,
which
makes some sense.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance...Jim

Try using the Vesa generic driver, and then set your LCD display to the resolution you want.

I have a Dell C800 that uses the ATI Mobility 128 chip and it had the very problem as you.. I changed to the vesa generic, and then set the lcd display to 1024x768, and then the color to millions, and it works fine for me.
