That is not how ndis works - ndis is an api. Emulation does not play a role. The specification was developed by Microsoft and 3Com to provide a common programming interface for MAC drivers and transport drivers. The guys that wrote ndiswrapper used the specification exactly as it was designed to be used (With the exception of the operating system it was implimented on - Linux). Further, unlike what a lot people say, the specification that microsoft helped to write is now being used against them by the Linux community. Best regards Marvin Dickens
