Why remove the driver?

For me ndiswrapper loads when I boot my laptop.
The card is not activated until I insert it, and the interface is
activated at that time.

I can do an "ifconfig eth0 down" then remove the card without ever
unloading the drivers, and simply plug it back in to reactivate it.

I do not see a need to 'unload' the driver since ndiswrapper is a kernel
module that activates other things. Also, with there are several
threads related to problems in unloading modules on the 2.6 kernels.
