If you installed XFCE 4.2 RC1 using their graphical installer and you want XFCE to be your default desktop, you'll find that switchdesk will not recognize that you have XFCE installed. So do this (as root): ln -s /usr/local/bin/startxfce4 /usr/bin And this (as yourself): switchdesk xfce And you'll be in business. -- Ben Steeves _ bcs@xxxxxxxxxx The ASCII ribbon campaign ( ) ben.steeves@xxxxxxxxx against HTML e-mail X GPG ID: 0xB3EBF1D9 http://www.metacon.ca/bcs / \ Yahoo Messenger: ben_steeves
