Dear all,

I am aware of the fact the totem shipped with FC3 uses Gstreamer instead
of xine .. now, has anyone had any success using it? It's pretty useless
by itself since it can't even handle MPEG files .. so I got some plugins
from:

http://mpeters.us/linux/fc3_gstreamer.php

with these plugins in place totem just keeps segfaulting..

so, I'm just wondering .. anyone with any better luck/ideas?

er, works for me ;)

Try totem 0.99.22 ( http://mpeters.us/yum/fedora/3/i386/RPMS.bleed/totem-0.99.22-0.0.yjl.1.i386.rpm ) and updating gstreamer-plugins ( http://mpeters.us/yum/fedora/3/i386/RPMS.bleed/gstreamer-plugins-0.8.6-0.0.yjl.1.i386.rpm )

Just fyi - I reverted my system to fedora versions of those packages and segfault I did not - so I don't think that's the issue, something else is causing the segfault. I sent you an e-mail and put a warning on the webpage. I hope to get it figured out soon.
