FC3: Problems with Hauppauge WinTV PCI card

I have a Hauppauge WinTV PCI card which worked after the first installation of Fedora Core3 with the tvtime application. A
Firewire card had not been detected at that moment. As I wanted
to conncet an external disk by firewire I replaced another unused card
and moved the firewire card.
Now the external disk is working but the TV not.
Can anybody say howto reset to the initial hardware detection
and force a new one; kudzu did not solve it.
