Dunno anything about Thinkpads, but what I got from doing some searching, there seems to be a bit of an issue with IBM Thinkpads and especially their 3c556b NIC. Here is a long thread (starting with FC2T1 up until FC3 final - last comment is dated 2 days ago) about not getting the NIC to work on a IBM Thinkpad A21P which also has the 3c556b. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=131293 The also tried setting "acpi=off" in /etc/boot/grub.conf but to no avail. You also might want to check out: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=116095 as a "solution" seems to be to stick with FC1. (Not really a solution) Cheers, /dev/loop
