There is a section in the Redhat-9 Reference Guide which is quite good, IMO. I assume this is available online somewhere. The RPM I have (from the RH-9 distribution) is rhl-rg-en-9-3.noarch.rpm . In fact the Redhat-9 guides are all pretty good. It would be a great idea to update them for Fedora, if that were allowed. Basically you have to make or find a sendmail.mc file, and process it with m4 to make sendmail.cf . The problem is that most sendmail.mc examples that I have seen seem to be for people running large systems with hundreds of users. (This is true of a lot of Linux documentation.) I suspect that there are only 2 or 3 different configurations actually required for the home user, so it should really be simple to set up. Maybe googling for "sendmail.mc example" would be worthwhile. -- Timothy Murphy e-mail (<80k only): tim /at/ birdsnest.maths.tcd.ie tel: +353-86-2336090, +353-1-2842366 s-mail: School of Mathematics, Trinity College, Dublin 2, Ireland
