Maybe you should elaborate a little.
What repository to find wine, would be helpful. That way even if he doesn't have
apt he could get the rpm directly from the repository.

I got my copy from wine HQ. It was more current than any of the repositories that I saw had it. I do notice that they don't have a FC3 version.
