I don't know how this can be done - you can give it a try :)

/usr/sbin/cpuspeed --help

Ideally I'd like an option for cpuspeed to ingonre certain frequencies (esp
all the intermediate ones). I'd rather it just jumps between the
lowest (save power) & highest (max-performance)
