Hi, i'm a real newbie user...and i have found minicom very friendly! i just configure it running minicom -s, and select Serial Port setup, ââââââ[configuration]âââââââ â Filenames and paths â â File transfer protocols â â Serial port setup â â Modem and dialing â â Screen and keyboard â â Save setup as dfl â â Save setup as.. â â Exit â â Exit from Minicom â ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ once in the serial por configuration screen, i just select the values i want to change by typing the letter: âââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ â A - Serial Device : /dev/ttyUSB0 â â B - Lockfile Location : /var/lock â â C - Callin Program : â â D - Callout Program : â â E - Bps/Par/Bits : 9600 8N1 â â F - Hardware Flow Control : Yes â â G - Software Flow Control : No â â â â Change which setting? â âââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ after set the values, i quit this screen by typing <Esc> and select Save Setup as dfl and select exit....... ââââââ[configuration]âââââââ â Filenames and paths â â File transfer protocols â â Serial port setup â â Modem and dialing â â Screen and keyboard â â Save setup as dfl â â Save setup as.. â â Exit â â Exit from Minicom â ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ then, it appears the terminal emulator and that's it !!!!
