how to install on thinkpad with *no* CD-ROM drive

colleague has a 4-YO (or so) "i" series thinkpad, on which the
cd-rom drive has gone south, but he'd still like to install FC3. the
system does have a USB floppy drive from which one can boot. so ...
what are his options? i realize there's no installation boot floppy
any more with FC.

he mentioned that he's used an intelligent boot manager from
sourceforge (btmgr) but not in this context. i can certainly make
the FC3 ISO images available on the net, but how he gets to them is
the mystery.

  thoughts?
