Epson seems to support us (linux users and coders) well enough that the linux drivers can give better output that the windows drivers do.
HP may also be helping kinux in some small way.
We needed a new printer at home and purchased a Lexmark after reading some good reviews and seeing the Lexmark had drivers on their site. The printer was used for only a few months and then replaced with an Epson again.
Check the Lexmark site and see if their driver works. -- Robin Laing
