yum doesn't support it, as well as it does not have a counterpart to 
apt-get build-deps

nor to
apt-get -d ..

[The later had been promised to be implemented in future versions, but
it is missing in the version being shipped with FC3-]

You've just discovered, why I still prefer apt :-)
