just upgraded my laptop from stock FC2 and the X display is showing numerous issues. Missing fonts, missing window contents (frames only), invisible menus and elements that only show up on mouse over or when moved, 'noise' in certain areas, overlapping doubled-up icons... in short, it's an unusable mess. This all occurs under KDE and Gnome and as root or as regular user. The laptop is a Sony Vaio with the i815 chipset. The Xorg log is below, I can't see anything amiss in it but most of it makes no sense to me. Apologies to those of you on dialup for this but I don't know what else to say, this is a pretty stock upgrade path and the i815 driver is loaded per normal as far as I can tell. Also it looks like this is a similar problem or the same (check out the screenshot - mine is worse): https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=138426 I did the upgrade in text mode (as usual) so I don't know if anaconda would have worked or not on this machine. Anyone come across this? have a suggestion?
