Partition resizing is very unsafe. If you carefully read the documentation of any resizing software, even commercial one's, you will see BACKUP ALL YOUR INFORMATION BEFORE USING! RedHat and others have decided not to have this feature; because of people who think it is safe if they allow you to do it during install.
