You did not post the vscan-clamav.conf. Is it default or did you
customize it, i.e. to reflect the socket file location for clamd which
is set by default to

clamd socket name = /var/run/clamd

while the socket may be

/var/run/clamav/clamd.sock

Check this kind of things.
