	I think there have been 3 others with the same types of problems and
all of them have found that it was selinux causing the problem. 
I know I've had no problems with any kernel and my Memorex USB device.
You might look at the archives on this, but I believe there was even a
message about changes to selinux in cores >.358 (could easily be wrong
here) or just wait a bit 'til they get selinux straightened out.
