I have a quick question concerning this bug, and maybe I should be posting this question at bugzilla instead the bugzilla link below will show the bug in question. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=130576 I'm familiar with the error you get when running the 2.6.8.1.521 kernel, and you know, that's fine and all. I don't get that error because I do run either application (gtoaster or xcdroast) as root. It allows me to burn the CD-R or CD-RW. My question though is, each audio CD I attempt to burn simply has what I would call a stuttering sound. As if sections of the digital sound were removed, any particular reason why that would be? The wavs that are ripped from the original cd play find in xmms or any other sound application, but the resulting burned cd (as tracks) simply do not play correctly. The media I'm using is from Verbatim and being burned up to 24x, it has never yielded bad results before. The drive as reported from cdrecord -scanbus: 1,1,0 101) 'PIONEER ' 'DVD-RW DVR-107D' '1.13' Removable CD-ROM Cdrecord-Clone 2.01-dvd (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Above is the version number. Unfortunately, I can not post the results of burning on the FC2 previous kernel, but I will have that information in a few hours. My system specs are as follows: Linux crane.kuei-jin.org 2.6.8-1.521 #1 Mon Aug 16 09:01:18 EDT 2004 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux (uname) It is an Athlon 2500+ overclocked to 3000+ (results are the same when not overclocked) 1gig Ultra dual channel RAM pc3200 Seagate 7200 rpm 120gig drive The mobo is an Asus A7N8X Should this instead go to bugzilla as previously mentioned? Or do I need to RTFM a little? I've not seen anything particularly relating to this issue in the archives, however I don't have my contacts in. ^_^ Thanks, Alex White
