Take away 'kudzu' that's causing the problem (most likely). The
automount I was referring to was from the file manager side. For
example GNOME refers to the cdrom as 'magicdev' and anytime you insert
a cdrom it automounts it (usually openning a window with the cdrom's
contents).

I think 'kudzu' is your problem here...
