Hi,

I tried to install and during installation got the following messages:

How do I know if it is being loaded or not? How do I not load it?

To see if the rivafb driver is loaded you can use 'lsmod'. If the rivafb module is loaded it should show up under the module column. The warning during the install of the nVidia driver is usually a warning that your current kernel has rivafb support compiled in (either statically or as a loadable module), you can usually just ignore the message without any issues.
