I know about WINE but wondered if anyone has come up with a CAD viewer
native to Linux?
If you can serve the files from Windows or Solaris, Autovue has a
client/server version that just needs a Java-capable web browser on the
client:

If you find out more, let us know. I'd be interested in this myself.
Kenneth and Fons - this looks like something that might work. I'm
considering thin client technologies or at least deploying the obolete
office workstations onto the shop floor with a free or low cost thin
client. I don't want to put a bunch of money into Citrix. I do have a
Windows 2KS box to serve up the files from.
