Well - you'll have to remove those packages as well (assuming you are not using them). > I would like to install the mozilla 1.7.3 (through > mozilla-i686-pc-linux-gnu-1.7.3-full-installer.tar.gz), this is why > I want to remove the mozilla 1.7.2. Hmm.. not a good idea. You could install this in a different location temporarily - and use it. (without removing 1.7.2) Or just wait for the official updates (assuming FC2 here). Alternatively grab the 1.7.2.src.rpm - and 1.7.3.tar.bz2 file - modify mozilla.spec file and build 1.7.3.rpm files. This is what I've done on FC1. (no mozilla updates for FC1 in a long time). The only issue I have is - the rpm files are 10 times larger than downloadable binaries (1.7.2) - and I don't know why.. This should be temporary until prebuilts for FC1 appear at (so not a big deal): http://mozilla.ussg.indiana.edu/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/yum/SeaMonkey/releases Satish
