Sometime soon I'm going to need to make room for something that shall be called FC3 then, If the FC2 isn't broken at the time, I'll be making a tar -cz back-up of FC1 and replacing it with FC3... In the event that I find a reason to restore the FC1, I'm going to want to hope that a "yum update" on it might actually work, so I figure I'm also going to want it already pointing at the legacy repository... So I for one, will be interested to see both the yum.conf AND the tutorial...
