Look in /var/log/messages and see what device model name reported. Then you can try to add match entry to /etc/updfstab.conf.default to mount the device automatically.
So here is what I believe to be the portion of the log that shows the detection of the Iomega drive.
How and where do I "add match entry" to /etc/updfstab.conf.default ?
