Just to add to this. I have just tried using a LiveCD that I had laying around that uses Kernel 2.4 and samba 2.2. I am able to mount this directories with out any problem and navigate. I do not see any smb time outs or general nastynes. Does any one have any suggestions? I think I may add this to bugzilla but am unsure of what I should submit the bug against. -- Douglas Furlong Systems Administrator Firebox.com T: 0870 420 4475 F: 0870 220 2178
