I've got a user who uses WinXP at his desk. He now has to use two desks, 10 feet apart, but still needs to use the one XP box
fun: Notebook computer, wireless access point?
practical: Monitor and keyboard on each desk connected to a KVM?
Is the requirement that he access both systems through one mouse/keyboard/monitor ?
KVM is a good cheap hardware solution.
In software you could look at x2vnc, vnc, rdesktop maybe ?
