I never used a Dell computer, others may give you a better advice,
hopefully.

Fist check all your bios options if you can adjust something to include
the DVD into the boot options. As a last resort you may switch the
cables of the two drives and give it a try.

A workaround is, to use the file /images/boot.iso to burn a bootable
cdrom (read the README). After boot you will be asked for the
installation method. The DVD should be listed.
