I know that when you add new music into WinAmp's playlist, it immediatly starts to read all id3 tags. I'll be very glad if anyone gave me a link to a plugin for XMMS, which does the same. Thank you.
xmms-mp3 from http://rpm.livna.org plus Options > Preferences > Options > Read info on (*) load
Yes, i tried it but changing these options takes no effect :-(
Have you tried "yum install libid3tag" ?
