Hi,
I would like to be able to watch tv on my linux box (Fedora Core 2 :-)).
I have installed the ati drivers and now have 3d support.
I tried tvtime and xawtv and neither work, both can't find the tv tuner (/dev/video0).
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Alex
Sad to say but I think you are out of luck.
Gatos ( http://gatos.sourceforge.net ), which had some support for the "theater" chip used in some Radeons, seems pretty much dead. But really, Gatos stuff that requires kernel modules hasn't worked right, (not "out of the box" right anyway), on redhat since around 7.2 even though you can still see in your X.log:
(!!) RADEON(0): For information on using the multimedia capabilities of this adapter, please see http://gatos.sf.net.
Oh well!
This post to the gatos devel list seems to indicate that there may be ATI2, Xorg binaries in the near future.
