Which card and which chip has it? It would be useful to provide us with
this kind of information.
I can not confirm this in general, because my BT878 card works properly
with each FC2 kernel. Output from "lspci -v":

02:05.0 Multimedia video controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Video
Capture (rev 02)
        Subsystem: Hauppauge computer works Inc. WinTV Series

Which module(s) does a former kernel use for your TV card?
