But mine is a laptop. It's easier to get a better supported sound card for a PC. Well, if it comes to it. First i guess one needs to play around.
There's also something about esd and alsa. I think the driver for mine works, when esd or oss is not involved (e.g., xmms). But starts repeating the sound over and over for system sound, etc. But even though xmms works, i still get an IRQ conflict, and it prevents the wireless driver from working when using that sound driver. Haven't had much time to look into lately though.
