Hmmm, starting at 16M. Ill give that a try tomorrow, but I'm not sure
if that'll make a difference. The default kernel sees all of the
memeory, but does not see the Smart Array, which I'm now 95% sure is
the problem. This is the same on all of the Compaqs (DL360, 1850R,
etc.) that I have access to. They all have Smart Arrays.

No other theories out there?
Note that even though I didn't specifically mention it, I have tried
the uniprocessor kernels with no change.
Also tried ide=nodma with no change.

I know I used linux mem=1008M@16M for some older Proliants.
I just loaded FC2 on a Proliant ML350 with no problems... I don't
understand why you are having issues. Any other cards in them, like
fibre
channel or anything like that?
