You may also need a different burner. I recently bought a cheap ($20) cd writer, and some of my older cdroms could not read the latter half of the CD's that it wrote. I switched back to my old (expensive, slow) cd burner, and those were just fine. run md5sum on the iso and compare it to the checksum file on the main server to make sure that you really did download it correctly. If you trust me, here's the md5sum: fc3c926442cc85a469268651bd04c186 FC2-i386-disc2.iso - Kevin ----- Original Message ----- From: jari.marikainen@xxxxxx <jari.marikainen@xxxxxx> Date: Thu, 12 Aug 2004 09:34:47 +0100 Subject: SV: FC2-i386-disc2.iso has error To: fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx Hi, I had the same problem with different distributions. My solution was to burn the cd's at lower speed. In general you get more accurate result burning at lower speed when you deal with content that consist of a big amount of small files (read Linux distributions). I have burned CDs using Roxio easy CD creator(record CD from CD image) and checked using command: linux mediacheck The result was 'FAIL' for disc2 each time. How to solve this problem please? Many thanks Rachel ________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail is new and improved - Check it out!
