David,

I have core1 and core2 running on over 30 HP servers right now.  I only
had problems with one DL360-G3 in particular. All of my others have had
no problems.  My problem ended up being the cdrom drive itself.  Pull
one from another DL360-G3 and try that.  If that doesn't work, try 
     linux allowcddma.  That might work.
