Greetings, Has anyone succefully installed MySQL 4.1 on Fedora Core2 because I tried all the rpm that are on the MySQL site and there is always an error I tried rpm -U MySQL-bench-4.1.3-0.i386.rpm and get errors or its a dependency or then is a conflit with the existing MySQL 3.23 that comes with Fedora does anyone have an walktrough of how to install MySQL 4.1 on the Fedora Core 2 ?
I did 3.23 to 4.0 under RH9 and needed the rpm "Dynamic client libraries (including 3.23.x libraries)" --[i.e.MySQL-shared-compat] for some apps to works.
For 4.1 it's: http://dev.mysql.com/get/Downloads/MySQL-4.1/MySQL-shared-compat-4.1.3-0.i386.rpm/from/http://www.softagency.co.jp/MySQL/
Other ideas are at:
