Yes, in case you where not aware, you do have to get involved with what your
kids are looking at, doing, etc on the computer. I'm sick of parents who
want the world to raise their lousy kids. Does everything in the world have
to be for the kids? Has the entire planet gone PG-13!

Don't be ignorant. Small children should be supervised using the computer.. Should they be supervised every minute of the day, even when they walk from the bedroom to the kitchen to get another juice box.. and might see a penis on Dads monitor in the computer room or den?

Are we ever going to stop kids from finding a playboy somewhere, hearing bad words on the bus, catching porn on the 3 day preview with Skinemax gives you each year, or seeing janet jacksons boobs? No.. these things happen. If Windows included this screen saver, the world would be outraged.. The normal windows lemmings don't seem to be nearly as tolerant or understanding as the linux community.. but that's because they are nearly a different species from us.

This a little bigger than just the 'penis' issue.. we're talking overall by now. I haven't seen this penis screensaver, I don't know if its artsy, if its graphic, or if its just a dotted line with a tip on it.. So maybe this is all extreme, but I think the overall discussion has kind of gotten onto inappropriate content in general.

We're not talking about the linux community raising his kids.. we're talking about inappropriate content being installed without warning, on a system that Redhat is pushing as 'for the people since we are charging for our other stuff now.. so via fedora, we'll beta test everything on the public and make them help us with our commercial product!'... Which is a two way street.

Perhaps we should include some default screen savers that include that popular image of the two elderly gentleman that are nude and giving each other oral pleasure. We'll just name it the 'oldgents' extension. While probably not offensive to parts of the community, it has absolutely no business being a default option in Fedora does it?

Package whatever you want with Fedora.. Someone just pointed it out very well.. Things with possibly inappropriate content should have a marking of some sort. Whether its in the rpm description, listed via install, or something.

I'm sure that if your kids grow up screwed up, it's not because of the screensaver.
