Thank you Craig & Serge!  That looks like it!  As soon as I get a chance
I'll rebuild the kernel RPM with those two options turned on.

it's actually an either or deal. just comment out CONFIG_NOHIGHMEM=y and uncomment CONFIG_HIGHMEM64G
