I've had similar problems with Samba, in that I could see the share (I use Linneighborhood to do this, in KDE), but I couldn't mount it. Turning off the firewall then allowed me to mount the share. I still have not found out which port is being blocked, but when I do I'll need to add it to the firewall script. (That's if anyone else knows which port has been added to Samba that the standard firewall rules don't know about.) Wolf -- Open WebMail Project (http://openwebmail.org)
