Hi,
My thanks goto Mark Schwartz for helpingto sortme it all out.
I chose syncinig with j-pilot, and that'show I did it:
The device turned out to be at /dev/ttyUSB1, so I did a chmod 0666 /dev/ttyUSB1
and it basically worked.
As for the external MS card and MSImport application it turned out important to have the following lines in modprobe.conf:
alias usb-controller ehci-hcd alias usb-controller1 uhci-hcd
One of thos was missing in my initial setup.
After that put the following entry in /etc/fstab:
/dev/sda1 /mnt/clie vfat noauto,user,rw 0 0
As root run /usr/sbin/updfstab
mkdir /mnt/clie
And you're all set. It even automounts.
The only remaining problemwith syncronization isthat localeon FC2 for Russians is ru_RU.UTF-8, and j-pilot 0.99.7 doesn't suggest the option of recoding Host UTF-8 - Palm windows-1251 (or koi8-r for that matter). I filed a bug for them and hope it'll be available sometime soon.

Hi all!
I have two questions concerning my Sony Cliie. In the old days of kernel 2.4 I would simply add usbserial, visor, and usb-storage to my /etc/modules files (I used to use ALT Linux 2.2). For synchroniztion purposes I'd use /dev/ttyUSB0, and for MS Import application on CLie I'd just mount the flash card as /dev/sda1 - and it all worked.
I have by now spent about 20 hours to try to figure out why it doesn't work in Fedora 2. Could someone care for a step-by-step instructions or just a link as to how to set it all ip?
Using lsusb i can actually see devices appearing, but cannot do a damn thing with them.
Thanks is advance.
