nfs version 2 in current kernels?

I find that I have a need for NFS version 2 support. I was hoping to allow field techs to do network installs of NCR MP-RAS (its an old 386 UNIX -- looks like old SCO stuff to me).

MP-RAS uses NFS version 3 by default, but the installer uses version 2!

I have some HP gear here, and HPUX 11i still supports NFS version 2, so these network based installs can be done in our lab setting, but I REALLY wanted to be able to do these installs in the field from a Fedora Core 2 based laptop.

Yes, I am working on a project to port our code to Linux, but that may take a year or so. And yes, it may be possible for us to run the old SYSV elf binaries under linux, but I haven't been able to figure that out yet. :)

I have searched for references to NFS version 2 for Linux, but I cannot see where it was dropped, or how to add it back.

Or even if ...

Any pointers are most welcomed!
