Working here as well with the same kernel. Dell 5150 laptop running at 1600 x 1200: glxgears reports ~2150 fps. Interesting impact on fonts in xemacs. I have my default fonts set to use: '(default ((t (:size "18" :family "bitstream vera sans mono"))) t) Using the 'nv' driver, these were displayed at a reasonable size, though not as nicely as I can recall from FC1 using the NVidia driver. The quality of the font was notably rough under FC2 using the nv driver. I know that others have previously reported font quality issues under FC2 and I believe that some had suggested it was the nv driver, if my memory is correct. Now using the NVidia driver, the fonts are huge with the above setting. I have changed the setting for xemacs now to: '(default ((t (:size "8" :family "bitstream vera sans mono"))) t) and the size is back to where it was before. Importantly, the quality of the fonts being displayed is back to what I recall from FC1, which is much smoother. Not quite as nice as xft/AA on this hi-res LCD panel, but pretty darn close. At least for a sample size of 1, this would suggest that the nv driver is associated with the poor font issue. It will be interesting to hear about the experience from others. HTH, Marc Schwartz
