Depends.. Which laptop are u using?

Dell? -> I8kutils
Toshiba -> You have that in the kernel too. 
Asus -> Same as Toshiba

no experience with Toshiba and Asus..

Lots with D600.
Err.. Used to be I can control the fan, but after upgrading the the A09
bios, it doesn't work no more.
