It's good to have some confirmation of that. Perhaps you could add a "me too!" to http://bugzilla.livna.org/show_bug.cgi?id=183, although it's highly possible that this isn't a problem with the livna package but with totem itself, in which case I guess I should open a bug report on bugzilla.gnome.org.

Bugzilla "me too" done. I've noted a few changes to totem-video-thumbnailer code in Totem's changelog. But I'm not a coder, so it won't be clear to me if those changes were what caused the failure or simply something missing in packaging. =)
